Consultation Launched Over 156-Home Housing Development
A new housing development at Marsh Farm in Ross-On-Wye has been proposed by Landra Developments.
If approved, the site in the Hildersley area of Ross would house 156 new homes with 62 of those being “affordable homes”.
Landra also says that the development would feature “Accessible open space for organised and more casual recreation,” “open space managed for wildlife, including sustainable urban drainage,” “protection of important ecological features,” as well as “pedestrian links to the town and connection with the wider public rights of way network.”
A consultation for members of the community has been launched, with a spokesperson for Landra Developments stating that “community engagement is an important part of this process, and we encourage residents to share their views,” and “The feedback we receive will be important in shaping the outline planning application we submit later this summer.”
As well as this, the spokesperson also said that “There is a substantial unmet housing need in Herefordshire, not least for affordable housing.”
They went on to say that “whilst ensuring our proposals will integrate into the potential wider allocation coming forward through the Local Plan, we have sought to design a scheme that respects the existing neighbouring properties, and provides new publicly accessible open space for the wider community to enjoy.”
